The current COVID-19 situation and our games

Hello everyone!

It's very strange to write this stuff, but I think you deserve to know the behind-the-scenes of the current situation in Italy, the place where I live and work.

The lockdown announced by the government fortunately doesn't include my job, so I can keep developing all my games (as you can see by the updates I published yesterday and the day before).

However, it would be false to state that it doesn't affect my production at all. The streets are empty as they are on holiday weeks, right now I can still access my office but I don't know for how long (I can still work from home, but it would be VERY difficult), plus I'm overall concerned for my family and kids, and writing videogames with that kind of mental stress is sometimes difficult. But I'm trying to do my best, as I always did. And I just hope the situation won't be worse than this in the future.

Plus, with most services out of order and the invitation to go out by oneself and without other family members, I have to take care of many things personally, which is something that takes time and it's a time I can't work at all (buying groceries, bills, managing bank accounts, buying medicines and playing with my kids since the schools are closed).

So, some updates of the game could be delivered with a delay in the near future. I am VERY sorry about this and believe me I'm doing the best I can to ensure you'll receive everything smoothly as I always did in the last three years (BTW, the 3-year anniversary for General Practitioner is coming on May and there will be surprises for everyone!)

That's it. I just wanted you to know the current situation and why I'm more silent than ever on social media channels: right now all my energies are focused on developing stories, not talking about them.

Thank you for your support. I hope this situation will defuse soon and without long-lasting consequences. BTW for those of you who still don't know I published a "Coronavirus Update" on General Practitioner a while ago. It's not meant to inform people about the situation, it's just meant to smile and be a "doctor Casanova" despite everything :)

Be safe and healthy, now more than ever!
